Research released Sunday is being heralded as the first indication that life-threatening peanut allergies can be cured.
The pilot study was presented at a meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology in Washington, D.C.
Five young children in the study were given tiny amounts of peanut over a period of years until their immune systems tolerated the allergen that once could have threatened their lives.
Although most people who suffer from allergies and related illnesses can benefit from allergy drops, many people aren't aware it's an option and don't recognize how DRAINING allergies are on our society as a whole. For those whose allergies interfere with them living a full, productive, and comfortable life, allergy drops provide an effective, safe and cost effective option.
